About the Role
District Management Accountant to report to the Deputy Chief Financial Officer. The role contributes to the Local Health District meeting its financial management obligations and the effective implementation of finance systems to deliver efficiencies and support the reliability, integrity and accuracy of financial information.
Responsibilities
* Provide high‑level management expertise in relation to financial, budget, activity and management accounting to ensure effective utilisation of resources within a continually changing environment for the Network, focusing on the Hospital.
* Support provision of financial oversight for the network, ensuring budget systems, financial performance reporting (including FTE, NWAU & activity), revenues and efficiency improvement plans, targets and Ministry reporting systems are managed.
Qualifications
* Australian citizen or permanent resident, or able to legally live and work in Australia.
* Relevant accounting/finance experience and knowledge of hospital financial systems.
