We are seeking a motivated and proactive Schools Officer - Grounds and Facilities to support the upkeep and presentation of our school grounds.
The successful candidate will play a key part in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and the wider community.
This is a hands-on role that requires strong communication and coordination skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
* Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of school grounds, including lawn and garden maintenance, tree/shrub care, and sports facility upkeep.
* Liaise with school staff and external contractors regarding maintenance, lost property, and supplies.
* Coordinate rubbish removal and assist during events like fetes or sports days.
* Ensure a safe environment by reporting hazards and attending to general repairs.
* Handle school security systems and lock/unlock buildings.
* Provide basic maintenance of equipment for students with disabilities.
Requirements:
* Current Queensland Government employee status.
