Assisting in end-to-end payroll processing is a critical function of this role, requiring attention to detail and proficiency in payroll software.
We are seeking an individual who is passionate about accuracy and compliance, with the ability to maintain and enhance HRIS data and systems.
The successful candidate will have strong communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
Responsibilities:
• Assist in payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and compliance
• Maintain and enhance HRIS data and systems
• Generate reports and provide technical support for HR and employees
• Ensure compliance with legislation and organisational policies
• Collaborate with HR, finance, and other teams to streamline processes
• Contribute to process improvements and train users on system functionalities
• Provide education and support to employees regarding payroll systems and tools
• Learn from experienced leaders and be part of succession planning
Requirements:
• Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Excel (iChris experience highly desirable)
• Familiarity with HRIS platforms and data management
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Detail-oriented approach and ability to handle sensitive information confidentially
• Adaptability and a proactive mindset
• Australian work rights are required for this position
• At least 3 years' experience in a payroll environment (early-career candidates with strong tech and Excel skills are encouraged to apply)
• Knowledge and understanding of the community services sector is greatly valued
• Sound understanding of payroll and financial principles
• Knowledge of relevant legislation
• Current National Police Clearance (no more than 6 months)
