As the FP&A Manager you will partner with the business to deliver quality insights and management information. This includes monitoring and production of information to monitor expenses, underwriting, and investment performance.
The FP&A team is responsible for preparing regular and ad-hoc analysis, reporting and presentations for senior stakeholders.
The FP&A team partners with Corporate Actuarial and the wider business to prepare the annual 5-year business plan. Alongside the core budgeting, forecasting and financial planning duties, you will lead a team in establishing best in class systems processes.
The FP&A team is responsible for quarterly management information packs for the Global Executive Committee. Other regular deliverables include Investment Committee packs and assisting with the quarterly financial close.
This role has one direct report and is responsible for accounts payable and treasury activities including cash flow management. As the remit of the role is broad it includes compliance with taxes, payroll and investment management activities including portfolio optimisation.
**Qualifications & Experience**
- At least 2 years post qualified experience
- Demonstrated ability to improve processes and challenge the status quo
- Specialist understanding of accounting and control in the life insurance industry
- Able to add value through effective financial analysis demonstrating influencing and presentation skills
- Able to simplify complex problems and present these in concise reports and presentations
- Able to frame issues, and make recommendations to enable quick and sound decision making
- Insurance industry experience desirable
