To learn more, visit: www.brams.org.au Be the Link Between People, Stories, and Community BRAMS is looking for a full-time Marketing and Communications Officer based in Broome, WA. Supporting the Executive team, this role is all about connection. You will work across the organisation to capture stories, highlight achievements, and help bring to life the meaningful work happening every day across BRAMS. This is not a desk-bound or strategy-led marketing role. It is a hands-on, people-first position where you will be out engaging with teams, attending activities, and gathering the moments that matter. More specifically, your responsibilities include but are not limited to: Connecting with teams across BRAMS to gather stories, updates, and insights Attending events, programs, and activities to capture content, including photos and key highlights Supporting the coordination of internal and external communications Assisting in preparing content and materials aligned with BRAMS’ established brand and messaging Building strong relationships with staff to encourage participation and storytelling Proactively following up with stakeholders to gather information, updates, and content in a timely way Supporting community engagement activities, campaigns, and events Assisting with administrative tasks related to marketing and communications Bring Your Confidence. You will bring experience in a marketing, communications, or people-focused role, or have developed strong transferable skills in roles where building relationships, coordinating activities, and engaging with others is key. Formal qualifications in marketing or communications will be well regarded but are not essential. What matters most is your ability to connect with people, stay organised, and take initiative. Additionally, the following skills and background will be highly valued: Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills Confidence in engaging with a wide range of people across different teams A proactive approach to gathering information and following up Good organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities Experience supporting events, communications, or coordination activities As our ideal candidate, you are confident, approachable, and proactive, with a natural ability to connect with people and build trust. You are comfortable starting conversations, asking questions, and engaging with others to gather information, even in busy environments. You will thrive in a role that is active and people-focused, where success comes from building relationships, following things up, and taking initiative. This role is best suited to someone who enjoys working within an established approach, supporting existing ways of working, and contributing positively to a collaborative team environment.
