As a Research Software Engineer, you will be instrumental in developing and maintaining sophisticated software systems that support population health projects. Responsibilities
* Support Existing Software Systems: Address bugs, implement improvements, and provide ongoing support for research tools and systems.
* Engage Stakeholders and Design Solutions: Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and design innovative software solutions.
* Develop and Document Software Tools: Create user and technical documentation and prototype new software tools for production release.
* Maintain Privacy and Security Standards: Uphold confidentiality and security protocols for research systems and data.
You may be a great fit if
You possess a strong background in software engineering, with expertise in programming languages like Java and .Net/C#, and have excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
You may also
* Have a relevant tertiary degree in software engineering or computer science.
* Be experienced in Java, .Net/C#, and/or Python Django for web applications.
* Have expertise in SQL databases and system integration using secure APIs.
* Possess strong communication skills and experience in writing technical documentation.
* Be adept at working independently and collaboratively within a team.
