About the Role:
This part-time opportunity as a Sessional Lecturer in the School of Medicine involves working closely with the Head of Assessment to collect, validate and analyse student assessment data. The primary focus is on supporting student progress and enhancing the quality of the School's MD assessment program.
Main Responsibilities:
* Carry out item analysis, including calculating metrics such as standard set pass marks and Cronbach's alpha, which provide essential evaluation tools for the assessment program.
* Generate detailed reports, tables and graphs to facilitate discussion on student progression throughout the program.
* Produce annual student progress reports and upload them to Blackboard for student retrieval.
* Compile student reports to support 'students at risk' exam review sessions.
* Ongoing duties will be directed by the line manager, Dean of Medicine or delegate.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* A postgraduate degree in a relevant field or equivalent qualifications in a specialist area of medical practice.
* Experience with longitudinal data analytics to combine multiple assessment tasks into one report supporting the Board of Examiners.
* Ability to utilise data to develop clear and concise student progress reports.
* Capacity to collaborate effectively with relevant staff to implement and maintain effective systems and processes for ensuring the quality delivery of the assessment program.
* Engagement in the scholarship of assessment practice to support quality improvement.
* Able to foster relationships and communication with members of the assessment team and school academic staff to support implementation of the assessment program.
