About The Opportunity
We have an exciting new opportunity for a Reliability Engineer to join our Maritime Sustainment business unit based at Garden Island, NSW.
You will be responsible for analysing data and trends on maritime equipment and systems, and for providing recommendations that support the effective operation of the equipment and systems until the Life of Type is reached.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyse the ship’s equipment, design and systems performance by undertaking RAM modelling, calculations and data analytics.
- Assess the supportability of equipment to optimise lifecycle for the asset.
- Collaborate with engineering, supply support, maintenance and operations teams to optimise equipment availability.
- Plan and execute reliability improvement tasks with a proactive mindset.
- Apply reliability and cost models to develop strategies that optimise asset performance.
About You
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field
- Minimum 5–10 years in Engineering or Asset Management
- Proven experience in asset management, equipment monitoring, maintenance, and safety auditing
- Proficiency in data reporting, RAM metrics, and industry best practices
- Strong understanding of DCACAS/FRACAS/LSA including FMECA, RCM, MTA and LORA
- Experience with Reliability Block Modelling, Sparing and Cost models using tools such as Reliasoft, MADe, ACEIT, OPUS
- Strong stakeholder engagement, communication, and conflict resolution skills
- Advanced understanding of engineering standards, RCA and systems engineering
