We are seeking an experienced Truck Driver - Medium Rigid (MR) to join our team at SOMERSET REMOVALS & STORAGE. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of parcels and goods across the local and regional areas. The position is based in Somerset, TAS 7322.
What you'll be doing
* Safely operate a medium rigid commercial vehicle to deliver parcels and freight to customers
* Perform pre-start checks and routine maintenance on the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition
* Maintain accurate records of delivery times, mileage, and any incidents or delays
* Provide excellent customer service by ensuring timely and professional deliveries
* Assist in loading and unloading the vehicle as required
* Comply with all relevant road transport regulations and company policies
What we're looking for
* A valid Medium Rigid (MR) driver's licence
* At least 2 years' experience as a commercial vehicle driver
* Strong knowledge of road rules and safe driving practices
* Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Good communication and customer service skills
* Physically fit and able to lift parcels and freight
