Responsibilities
* Lead the fire engineering design process for commercial, residential, and civic projects.
* Conduct fire risk assessments, modeling, and simulations using advanced tools like CFD and FDS.
* Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and clients to integrate fire safety strategies.
* Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team development.
* Ensure adherence to Australian standards (e.g., NCC, AS 1668) and international best practices.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Fire Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
* 7+ years of experience in fire engineering, with proven expertise in performance-based design.
* Chartered Engineer status (CPEng) or equivalent preferred.
* Strong knowledge of fire dynamics, evacuation modelling, and building fire safety systems.
* Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
