Position Overview
Sandhills Early Childhood Centre, Byron Bay (Byron Shire Council) Job Type: Part-time – 1 day per week (term)
Hourly rate: $34.00 – $39.39 (depending on experience and qualifications) plus an approximate $4 per hour worker retention payment.
Responsibilities
* Collaborate with educators to implement the daily program in line with the National Quality Framework and Early Years Learning Framework.
* Assist with meal preparation and healthy food choices for children in a long day care environment.
* Support children's learning and development through nutrition-focused activities.
* Participate in flexible working arrangements and contribute to the centre's culture of creativity and support.
Qualifications & Experience
* Relevant experience cooking for children in a long day care setting.
* Commitment to working in early childhood education and care.
* Strong communication skills to interact effectively with children, parents and staff.
* Experience or understanding of child‐safe practices and early childhood policies.
