Job Opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Duty Officer to join our team in Alice Springs, Australia.
* This is a key role that involves maintaining the safety and security of our premises by monitoring surveillance systems, patrolling the area, and responding to any security incidents.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
1. Managing and monitoring assigned areas, including receiving inquiries, prioritizing tasks, and responding or delegating actions as required.
2. Providing, monitoring, and controlling personnel access to classified areas, ensuring that all necessary approvals and signatures are obtained.
3. Implementing and maintaining a program to prevent the removal of classified material from classified areas, conducting regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance.
4. Conducting security education training and security briefings for employees, providing physical and personnel security services as needed.
5. Implementing operational security initiatives, providing monitoring and response to security, fire, and other emergency alarms or indicators.
6. Employing electronic systems or physical procedures to screen personnel and devices before entry into classified areas, operating the US Government provided paging and radio network.
7. Performing security roving patrols of the technical area, checking computer systems for physical tampering or misuse, and ensuring that computer systems are locked when not in use.
8. Providing first-response and emergency services support to the site, removing and relocating snakes and other reptiles away from human populated areas.
9. Inspecting classified spaces prior to uncleared personnel being escorted into classified areas, conducting random security patrols and inspections of the complex, warehouse, and surrounding buildings and areas.
10. Performing maintenance and repairs on security systems, responding and restoring to operation as needed.
11. Planning familiarization exercises with medical personnel to ensure familiarity with processes and response procedures.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Previous experience as a security duty officer, preferably in a government contractor environment.
* A high level of physical fitness, ability to stand and walk for extended periods, lift and carry objects up to 50 pounds, climb stairs, and stoop as needed to inspect areas.

Additional Information
This is a full-time position, and we require the successful candidate to relocate to Alice Springs, Australia for the duration of the contract. A valid passport is required, and must be maintained during your stay in Australia.
