About the Role
As a Youth Worker in our Nambour team you will take the lead on all operational aspects of delivering our Get Set for Work partnership with our Registered Training Organisation (RTO).
This project combines accredited training with personalised support to help young people between the ages of 15 and 19 prepare for and secure sustainable employment.
You will oversee participant recruitment non-accredited work readiness training and program reporting.
At its core this role is about empowering young people to gain nationally recognised skills and vocational qualifications supporting them to take a potentially life-changing step toward their future careers.
Key responsibilities include :
Supporting participants with a range of personal, social and employment barriers
Developing individual training and personal development plans
Building strong connections with RTOs, local employers and community partners to create opportunities
Maintaining accurate case notes, program reporting and compliance documentation
What you will bring :
Certificate IV or equivalent experience in Community Services Employment Services Youth Work Training or a related sector
Knowledge of the labour market and the challenges faced by young people entering or re-entering the workforce
Resilience, empathy and the ability to support participants with complex barriers
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with young people, employers and partners
Strong IT and administration skills including case noting and proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams)
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time, priorities and detail effectively
