Join Liverpool Hospital, a leading NSW teaching hospital, and gain hands‐on experience across Colorectal & Upper GI Surgery and Anaesthetics, building confidence and capability through exposure to diverse, complex peri‐operative care.

* Gain hands‐on experience in Colorectal & Upper GI Surgery, caring for patients undergoing major abdominal procedures while developing skills in pre‐operative preparation, post‐operative monitoring, enhanced recovery pathways, and complex wound management.
* Work closely with anaesthetists and multidisciplinary theatre teams to deliver safe, high‐quality peri‐operative care, including assisting with airway management, monitoring patient stability, and supporting efficient surgical workflows.
* Be exposed to a wide range of complex surgical and peri‐operative cases that strengthen your clinical knowledge, technical skills, and professional confidence in a fast‐paced acute care environment.
* Tailor your placement to align with your interests—whether acute surgical care, theatre support, or complex post‐operative recovery—allowing you to build expertise in the specialty you're passionate about.
