About the role
This is a full-time Project Specific role based in the East Pilbara, FIFO considered (ex-Perth only).
Responsibilities:
•Accurately measuring and cutting plasterboard
•Positioning and securing the panels to the walls and ceiling.
•Prepare and secure corner beads.
•Secure panel mouldings, cornices ceiling centres and other kinds of plaster fittings.
•Pasting coats of plaster, render and cement using trowels
•Levelling and smoothing plaster layers
•Covering and smoothing over nail holes and joins, using plaster, sealing compounds and sandpaper
•Applying finishing coats and adding decorative effects if required.
•Applying fireproofing, acoustic, and insulating materials bonded with plaster.
Must haves:
•Strong communication skills, diligent and well presented.
•Excellent attention to detail, quality, and finish.
•Ability to maintain a safe and clean work environment.
•Ability to work well in both a team and independently.
•Always see tasks through to completion
•Problem solving skills.
•Demonstrated experience working on commercial building sites.
•Rio Tinto qualifications are advantageous, however not compulsory.
•Current and active Australian HR-Class driver's license
•Australian-recognised Trade Qualification
•Construction Induction White Card
