Senior Commercial Specialist | Strategic Procurement & Contracting
Drive strategic procurement and end-to-end contract management for a Commonwealth client—delivering value for money, ensuring compliance with Commonwealth frameworks, and supporting successful programme outcomes. If you're strong on complex sourcing, negotiations, probity, and stakeholder leadership, this is a high-impact contract opportunity.
Location: ACT, QLD, VIC, NSW, SA, TAS
* Contract Duration: 12–24 months (start ASAP)
* Security Clearance Requirement: Baseline clearance required
* Closing Date: 10am Thursday 29th January 2026
Essential Tasks:
* Provide strategic commercial advice, including contract negotiations and management support
* Draft, review, negotiate, and manage contract terms across the full lifecycle
* Develop and implement procurement strategies, including market research and supplier evaluation
* Monitor vendor performance, manage KPIs/risks/issues, and handle variations/extensions/renewals
Key Criteria:
* 5+ years' public sector procurement/contracting delivering complex procurements
* Strong knowledge of CPR/PGPA frameworks (and related governance requirements)
* Digital sourcing experience (e.g., BuyICT panels and Digital Marketplace processes)
* Proven negotiation, probity, and stakeholder leadership capability
