About The Role
MPK is seeking an experienced Planner / Scheduler to join our Project Team based in the Brisbane Support Office. The Planner / Scheduler provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility and will support the Project team with progress reporting, including schedule updates, forecast to complete, resource leveling, demand, variance identification, and opportunities for improvement. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Building and interpreting schedules using Primavera and MS Office programs.
Providing project control reporting, including baseline schedule development and management, performance status and reporting, baseline change control, risk management, earned value management guidance, and tools.
Advising and consulting on the application of effective planning techniques and controls (earned value, cost and schedule variance, estimates at completion, critical path analysis).
Supporting program integration, plan optimization, and project scheduling best practices.
Ensuring that the planning and scheduling for projects adhere to company standards and contract obligations.
Supporting and advising on the definition of project planning and earned value management processes, procedures, and standards required to deliver projects.
Supporting the development of integrated master schedules for specific programs in Primavera and/or Microsoft Project, reflecting all interface milestones and activity durations from multiple contractors' schedules, and feeding changes to the integrated master schedule.
Ensuring weekly/monthly reports align with the project and MPK reporting calendar, providing details on progress, actuals, forecasts, and explanations of variances.
Ensuring consistent application of project control processes across the project.
Identifying opportunities for improved schedules.
Managing governance to ensure robust cost and schedule performance across multiple subcontractors and suppliers.
Supporting the development of resource-loaded schedules.
Monitoring and reporting against KPIs, analyzing variances, and making recommendations to maintain targets.
Attending and contributing to construction, testing, completion, program, and commercial meetings and workshops.
Monitoring, managing, and reporting scope variance and delays, and holding progress meetings.
Working closely with the Project Manager, Commercial Manager, and Quantity Surveyor to maximize project potential.
Providing innovative solutions for reporting and building databases and documents for internal and external use.
