About the Role
Experis Australia is seeking an experienced SAP BTP Developer with a minimum Baseline security clearance to support a major Federal Government transformation initiative. This role is ideal for a senior SAP specialist with deep experience in BTP development, enterprise integrations, and secure delivery within a Public Service environment.
You will play a key role in designing, building, and modernising critical SAP interfaces and services, while contributing to one of the largest ERP uplift programs in the Commonwealth.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, develop, and implement SAP BTP solutions aligned with enterprise architecture and ERP transformation objectives.
* Build and maintain integrations between SAP BTP, S/4HANA and SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central (EC).
* Modernise legacy interfaces and migrate them into SAP Integration Suite.
* Develop high‑quality REST/OData APIs for SAP and non‑SAP systems.
* Work collaboratively within a large, security‑focused Federal Government environment.
* Deliver code and configurations following best‑practice DevOps pipelines, automation, and secure deployment processes.
* Support delivery within SAP Sovereign Cloud or SAP Private Cloud Edition environments.
Required Skills and Experience
* Over 10 years of IT industry experience, with deep expertise in SAP BTP development and a strong understanding of its integration points with S/4HANA and SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central (EC).
* Proven capability delivering SAP BTP solutions in large‑scale Public Service environments (Commonwealth or State), including working within government security, risk, and compliance frameworks.
* Highly skilled across multiple development technologies, including Node.js, Java, JavaScript, Python, ABAP Cloud, and modern DevOps practices, along with hands‑on experience using SAP Business Application Studio (BAS), Eclipse ADT, and GitHub.
* Experienced in building and modernising enterprise integrations, including developing critical interface services and successfully migrating legacy integrations into the SAP Integration Suite
