Cerner is looking for a Junior Healthcare IT Consultant to join the Consulting team in Australia. This is an exciting team that looks to push the boundaries of what can be done and is part of the wider organization of Cerner Consulting. You will be part of a dynamic team in which collaborative working will be paramount. As well as delivering value to clients, you will be expected to contribute and identify areas for process improvement internally. As a Junior Healthcare IT Consultant you will be advising clients on workflows across service lines and guide them through interdependencies and design decisions impacts. Working with the client, you will be creating a strategic plan to obtain value achievement across service lines and identify workflow and process improvements, making recommendations to both client and project leadership.
As a Junior Healthcare IT Consultant, you will take the lead in driving through workflow, business process, and solution change in designing the optimal patient health record system. You will analyze business and hospital processes to integrate and align solutions to Cerner standards and the hospital's needs. Using effective influencing skills, you will work with colleagues from other solution areas and clients to leverage best practice examples and identify benefits from implementing the solution. You should be proficient in change management, helping clients identify opportunities for improvements, and be accountable for achieving the project's stated outcomes as well as explaining and demonstrating the benefits of Cerner's solutions.

- Bachelor's degree **and/or** 4 years related work experience
- Plus 1 year completed higher education **and/or** additional work experience directly related to the duties of the job including:
- 1 year in healthcare information technology (HCIT) consulting, HCIT support, and/or other client-facing or HCIT solution work experience
**Preferred qualifications**:
- Experience with Cerner Millennium Products
- Experience with Allied Health workflows would be ideal
**Expectations**:
- Willing to travel up to 80% as needed
- Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed
**Detailed Description and Job Requirements**

1-3 years of overall experience in relevant functional or technical roles. Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience. Product or technical expertise relevant to practice focus. Demonstrates competence in a minimum of one product or technology area. Ability to communicate effectively and build rapport with team members and clients. Ability to travel as needed.
