Project Management / Business Analyst Consultant (Fractional Contract)
* Onsite / Hybrid short-term initial phase of 2 weeks, then low-touch & advisory check-ins
* Temporary (Fractional) & Immediate Start
* Competitive Hourly Rate
The Opportunity
Our client is a peak industry membership association based in Brunswick. They have recently secured a high-profile grant funded by WorkSafe to deliver a critical health and safety awareness and training campaign for industry professionals.
While the internal team knows what they want to achieve, they need an expert to map out the how. We are seeking a seasoned Business Analyst / Project Manager for a unique, fractional engagement to architect the project framework from scratch and provide long-term governance.
The Assignment
This role offers the ultimate flexibility for a career consultant or independent contractor, structured across two distinct phases:
* Phase 1 (First 2 weeks): High-Touch & Intensive. You will work full-time or near full-time to collaborate with executives, establish project documentation, build the budget, and set the strategy.
* Phase 2 (Next 12 Months): Low-Touch & Advisory. Once the internal team takes over day-to-day execution, your role will transition into a periodic governance touchpoint (monthly and quarterly check-ins) to review milestones and de-risk the project.
Key Responsibilities
* Build from Ground Zero: Take a high-level grant concept and transform it into a robust project plan, defining scope, timelines, deliverables, and responsibilities (RACI).
* Financial & Budget Management: Develop a comprehensive budget and cost breakdown for the grant allocation (no prior budget framework currently exists).
* Stakeholder Frameworks: Structure the engagement model for an external working group of key industry stakeholders.
* Risk & Governance: Establish clear risk-mitigation strategies and provide ongoing, long‐term accountability for the internal project team during monthly/quarterly reviews.
About You
* A background that successfully bridges technical Business Analysis (requirements gathering, process mapping, budgeting) and structured Project Management.
* Comfort entering an environment with minimal existing documentation and the ability to rapidly build structure out of ambiguity.
* Ability to manage dynamics between internal executives and external stakeholder working groups.
* Prior experience working on government‐funded projects, health/safety campaigns, or within member associations is highly desirable.
* Immediate start. You must be ready to hit the ground running onsite in Brunswick for the initial setup phase.
