Project Officer Job Description
Talent pool job for the filling of current and future ongoing and temporary vacancies. Location: Hunter Central Coast District – Newcastle based.
This role is part of the District's Executive and Business Support Team. The successful applicant will be responsible for managing workflow, providing information to various areas, reviewing and quality assuring critical incident advice, drafting district communications, and coordinating special events.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare reports, briefs and coordinate resources
* Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
* Guide and support district staff to achieve outcomes via support and mentoring
* Draft materials to be distributed across the district
* Communicate relevant/important information to enable Senior Management to make business decisions
Requirements
* A confident communicator who can engage and support a diverse range of stakeholders
* Strong engagement and relationship building skills
* Highly resilient and able to work under pressure and manage competing priorities
* Ability to understand and adhere to Legislation, Policies and Procedures
* Ability to plan and prioritise workload with attention to detail
