Job Description:

The successful Employee Relations Representative will be responsible for interpreting and applying relevant federal and state employment legislation, providing advice and administering the Project Agreement.

This role works closely with supervision, craft professionals, and trade unions to drive meaningful outcomes and mitigate industrial relations risks.

* Manage industrial and employee relations and communication to the workforce on an industrial construction site.
* Case management of craft personnel.
* Audit subcontractor employment relations management plans and internal timekeeping.
* Support environmental, safety, and health systems implementation by attending meetings, correcting breaches, and reporting incidents.
* Analyze industrial issues, resolve disputes promptly through dispute resolution processes, and ensure management awareness of trends or recurring issues.
* Apply relevant state and federal legislation and the Pluto Train 2 Project Agreement.
* Assist Workforce Services Administrators with roster and leave management.
* Process changes in conditions of employment.
* Provide proactive advice and training to project professionals and workforce personnel on industrial agreements and their application.
* Develop documentation to support industrial matters that may result in claims, disputes, or cases documented by professional craft employees.
* Lead first-response actions in industrial incidents and provide coordination for union right-of-entry visits.


Required Skills and Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess:

* Tertiary qualifications in human resource management or industrial relations, preferably with experience in a leadership or management role on a construction project.
* Eight years of experience performing employee or industrial relations management, human resources, or similar functions in a construction company, EPC, or similar industry.
* Demonstrated success in human resources, industrial relations, or Workforce Services type roles on a construction site.
