Position Overview
As a
Sales Representative
, you will play a key role in driving sales growth, expanding market penetration, and building strong customer partnerships across assigned accounts and regions. You will represent their diverse portfolio of Japanese food products to retailers, wholesalers, restaurants, and other foodservice partners, contributing directly to revenue and brand presence in the market.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers, including supermarkets, retail chains, distributors, wholesalers, restaurants, and foodservice operators.
* Achieve and exceed sales targets for assigned territories and product categories.
* Conduct regular route visits, presentations, and product demonstrations with customers.
* Identify new business opportunities and convert leads into profitable sales.
* Provide product knowledge, insights, and recommendations tailored to customer needs.
* Collaborate with Marketing and Supply Chain teams to ensure promotional execution, product availability, and delivery accuracy.
* Prepare sales forecasts, reports, and market analysis to support strategic decisions.
* Participate in trade shows, industry events, and customer meetings to promote JFC products.
* Monitor competitor activities, pricing, and market trends to inform sales strategy.
* Ensure compliance with company policies, pricing guidelines, and ethical standards.
Essential
Skills & Qualifications
* Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
* Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently.
* Excellent organisational and time-management abilities.
* PR or Citizenship of Australia, and full driving liscense
Desirable
* Some Japanese language skill is a plus
* Some B2B sales experience, ideally in FMCG, wholesale food distribution, or related industries.
* Experience with Japanese/Asian food products or multicultural markets.
* Established relationships within retail or foodservice channels.
* Knowledge of CRM and sales forecasting tools.
