About The Role
A Rural Allied Health Assistant will be located at a rural health service and will be directed by allied health clinicians, both locally and within the Western NSW Local Health District (WNSWLHD) virtually, to enable and support holistic care for patients, residents and community members.
The WNSWLHD Rural Allied Health Assistant Program is a bespoke rural training experience designed to provide opportunity for participants to gain experience and skills, in a supported environment, to support therapy-based interventions by Allied Health professionals into the local rural health facility.
The virtual Allied Health service (vAHS) is a service within the Western Virtual Division of WNSWLHD, and works as a virtual multi-disciplinary team, physically located across the LHD. This team is highly collaborative to continually strive to provide comprehensive patient focused care.
