The Team:
The Community Rapid Response Service (ComRRS) Physiotherapist works within the Community Physiotherapy team of the Tasmanian Health Service. It delivers accessible, evidence‐based physiotherapy services to support health, function, and independence of people across the community, including those with chronic conditions, frailty, and focusing on hospital avoidance interventions. The team works across community clinics and clients' homes to assess, plan, and implement individualised treatment programs, provide education and self‐management strategies, and support carers and families. The ComRRS physiotherapists collaborate closely with multidisciplinary colleagues, including nursing, medical, social work, and occupational therapy, to ensure coordinated, person‐centred care that aligns with broader DoH service priorities, safety and quality frameworks, and equity of access. Through clinical leadership, service development, and quality improvement activities, the team contributes to strengthening community‐based care, reducing hospital demand, and improving health outcomes for Tasmanian communities.
The Role:
Within a departmental framework, and in accordance with agency policy and procedures and professional code of conduct, the Senior Community Physiotherapist focuses on:
* Providing efficient and effective physiotherapy services to clients at the service location.
* Maintaining physiotherapy services in primary health sites, including supervising and supporting staff and students.
* Contributing to health promotion within the community.
* Participating in relevant quality improvement activities to ensure safe and effective delivery of client care.
* Ensuring collaborative client care with other members of the multidisciplinary team across the northern region of Tasmania as required.

Qualifications:
* Tertiary qualification / program of study approved by the Physiotherapy Board of Australia.
* Registered with the Physiotherapy Board of Australia.
* Current driver's licence (desirable).
Salary: $110,425 to $121,907 pro rata per annum (plus 12% superannuation contribution).
