About the Role
This home care support position is designed for individuals who are passionate about assisting older adults with daily tasks, social support, and personal care. As a Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing transportation and respite services, while also promoting engagement in social activities.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist with domestic duties and household chores, including laundry, cleaning, and meal preparation.
* Provide social support and encourage participation in community activities.
* Assist with personal care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
* Transport clients to appointments, shopping, and social events.
* Offer respite services to give family caregivers a break.
Requirements
* Prior experience in home care or disability support is preferred.
* A Certificate III in Individual Support (Aging, Home, and Community) is highly regarded.
* You must have a valid driver's license and reliable vehicle to transport clients.
* Current First Aid and CPR certification is essential.
* Vaccination against Covid-19 and Flu is highly recommended.
* Basic computer and smartphone skills are necessary.
