Operations Site Manager Job Description

The Operations Site Manager is responsible for overseeing daily depot operations and supporting operations managers in meeting quality and budget goals.
Key responsibilities include:
* Monitoring budgets and operational metrics, diagnosing issues, and improving processes.
* Implementing safety measures and ensuring compliance with OSHA standards.
* Conducting investigations of injuries and incidents, enforcing discipline, and providing retraining.
* Managing personnel needs, including hiring, coaching, disciplining, training, and evaluating employees.
* Setting short- and long-term goals and action plans with the Site Manager and Director of Operations.
* Participating in P&L reviews, optimizing equipment use, and managing costs.
* Engaging with local agencies to improve efficiency, renew, and negotiate contracts.
* Addressing employee relations issues.
Requirements and Qualifications:
Supervisory Experience: 5+ years managing teams.
Education and Experience:
* Associate degree or High School Diploma plus 2 years of relevant experience.
* At least 3 years of experience in transportation, logistics, or solid waste operations involving leadership and customer service.
Additional Skills:
* Experience implementing safety programs, managing budgets, and resolving labor issues.
