**About the role**
Reporting to the CEO, you will be responsible for the management of the corporate practices and finance functions of Queen Victoria Market (QVM). This key leadership role will see you working with the Executive Leadership Team in leading the annual budget and reporting processes. You will provide strategic oversight of all financial matters including financial governance, managing performance, building capability across the finance team in addition to driving the development of financial viability and sustainability across QVM.
**Duties**
- Developing, implementing and managing the strategic direction of the finance function
- Providing timely and accurate management information and analysis to the executive management team and the Board in relation to budgets, financial performance, economic evaluation and general financial analysis
- Lead the finance team and oversee financial IT systems, ensuring compliance with relevant statutory requirements
- Provide support and guidance to ensure all contractual, legal and financial requirements of the business are documented fully and adhered to
- Build processes to capture data and draw insights to drive financial and operational performance and enhance the experience for all market users
- Oversee procurement activities
- Lead IT architecture, management, and support functions
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance revenue streams and drive revenue diversification
- Lead business analytics and performance reporting
**Skills and Experience**
You are CA/CPA qualified, and have compiled an impressive track record and reputation as a high achieving finance leader. You have highly developed technical accounting skills and commercial acumen, along with proven experience managing complex and high level stakeholder relationships. You are a big picture thinker who is able to reason at a conceptual level and drive change, while still maintaining a strong attention to detail and a hands-on approach.
Crucially, you are a natural leader with a high degree of integrity and professionalism, a "can do" attitude, and are comfortable with autonomy, ambiguity and adaptability. Equally, you have the confidence and credibility to engage effectively and build relationships at Board level, and with senior executives and operational stakeholders. A creative and proactive thinker is required to navigate a dynamic environment and lead through change.
