We are looking for a true go-getter to generate new business opportunities and support existing clients/growers. This role would be perfect for someone from a horticultural background blended with proven business development expertise.
What you'll get up to:
This is an exciting opportunity for a Technical Horticultural Representative to work alongside our Canterbury Fruitfed Supplies team. You'll be responsible for advising and assisting our clients by providing technical and sales advice to growers to use the right products and services to get the most out of their crops. Your ability to build and maintain strong client relationships will be second-to-none, while your enthusiasm and forward-thinking attitude will see you really making a difference. Horticulture is a growth industry in the Canterbury region.
It is an exciting time to be involved in this industry with a huge variety of crops that are now being grown here. If you enjoy assisting clients grow quality food to enter the food chain, then this is the role for you.
You'll also be travelling throughout the region, providing technical and sales advice to existing clients/growers as well as canvasing new opportunities. You'll also work alongside the local store teams and the wider business by sharing knowledge and offering practical sales support. You'll be someone that can be a part of a grower's business, both big and small, identify crop issues and offer fit-for-purpose advice, solution and products that support a clients goals.

Our wish list of skills and experience;
* Extensive knowledge of the New Zealand Horticulture sector
* Onsite/field experience (for example, fruit and vegetable crops)
* Confidence and proven expertise in developing new business
* Strong customer solutions focus
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Reasonable fitness, as some heavy lifting and physical work can be required.
* Full, current and clean New Zealand driver licence (essential)
