About the Role
As the Head of Department - Science at Wilsonton State High School, you will have responsibility for, but not limited to the following:
Leadership of the curriculum of this department to ensure that our students are given every opportunity to successfully achieve.
Leading the Science Department to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision focussed on providing quality learning outcomes for all students.
Identifying and implementing practices that focus on continually improving services and student outcomes.
Using the outcomes of evaluations including the feedback of staff, students, and other stakeholders, lead the continuous improvement of the Department's training and assessment strategies and practices.
Setting high standards for student and staff performance.
Actively encourage and participate in lifelong learning and ongoing skilled development.
Embedding socially just practices in daily school life.
Forming partnerships with students, parents, other relevant industry and community groups.
