Mold Machine Operations Specialist Role Summary
The primary objective of this position is to operate complex mold machines accurately and efficiently while maintaining the quality and dimensional integrity of the product. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing tooling dies, setting up and controlling mold machine functions, removing wax parts from dies, inspecting for defects, and trimming.
Key Responsibilities:
* To accurately prepare tooling dies for operation using established procedures
* To set up, monitor, and control mold machine functions in accordance with technique cards and established set-up procedures
* To remove wax parts from dies, inspect for defects, and trim
* To ensure proper wax supplies are maintained for mold machine operation
* To develop and assist in tech card creation
* To initiate and implement corrective action to resolve quality and tooling problems as needed
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Skill in the wax molding operations
* Demonstrated eighteen to twenty-four months of competent performance of Mold Machine Operator A duties
* Ability to read, interpret, and follow specifications on Technique Cards, load cards, and other types of special instructions
* Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division)
* Ability to work alone with limited supervision
* Written language skills required
* Physical ability to perform the essential job functions
