St Mary's Anglican Church and Cliff's Kitchen – Busselton WA
Job Type & Hours
- Type of Work: Food Preparation & Service
- Commitment: Regular – more than 6 months
- Time Required: Tuesday mornings and Wednesday mornings; up to 10 hours a week.
Key Skills & Responsibilities
- Cooking & Kitchen Skills
- Ability to cook simple, nutritious meals in bulk
- Familiarity with safe food handling and hygiene
- Knowledge of food storage and avoiding cross‐contamination
- Comfortable using standard kitchen equipment (ovens, stovetops, mixers, knives)
- Planning & Organisation
- Can plan a simple weekly menu based on available produce
- Able to estimate quantities for 120–150 meals and adjust recipes accordingly
- Keep track of supplies and manage a basic shopping list
- Reliable in shopping for ingredients (on a needs basis)
- Resourcefulness
- Knows how to work within a budget
- Can adapt plans based on donated food or what's available at the shops
- Team and People Skills
- Friendly, respectful, and works well with others (volunteers, church team, guests)
- Communicates clearly and asks for help or guidance when needed
- Flexible and calm under pressure, especially during busy times in the kitchen
