**About the role**
As a Behaviour Support Practitioner you will have opportunities to collaborate and work closely with other Allied Health Professionals under our multi-disciplinary model to provide tailored support to meet our clients' goals. You will have a wide and varied client case load, from children to adults with various intellectual and psychosocial disabilities. Our team is here to support you with weekly or fortnightly supervision from our Senior Practitioners, monthly communities of practice where you can share and learn with your colleagues and ongoing support from our Allied Health professionals and your Team Leader.
**Duties**
- Conduct Functional Behavioural Assessments and Develop Behaviour Support Plans that are person centered, evidence based, and aim to reduce and eliminate the use of regulated restrictive practices
- Liaise and consult with clients, carers/family members, relevant agencies, hospital and community staff, and government departments, as appropriate
- Provide direct behavioural interventions in group and individual settings
- Use behavioural, psychological, and evidence-based theories to develop and implement program designs and interventions
- Build and develop strong relationships with key stakeholders
- Adhere to NDIS quality and safeguard commission requirements
- Deliver training to a wide range of stakeholders on behaviour management strategies including NDIS providers, Child protection Agencies, families, and

**Skills and Experience**
We want you to be successful in your new role This means you have:
- Minimum 12 months experience as Behaviour Support Practitioner, with NDIS experience
- Be endorsed as Core, at a minimum, under the NDIS Quality and Safeguard Commission Positive Behaviour Support Capability Framework
- Be familiar with the NDIS Quality and Safeguard Behaviour Support Rules 2018, NDIS practice Standards, and SA Department of Human Services Restrictive Practice Authorisation Scheme, and the Regulated Restrictive Practice Guidelines
- An ability to communicate and appropriately respond to needs of people of all abilities and cultural backgrounds
- Strong analytical and report writing skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet strict deadlines
- Be flexible and confident in your service provision to clients with the ability to adapt as required
- Current SA drivers' licence and willingness/ability to travel to clients
