A leading Australian energy infrastructure organisation is preparing for a significant period of growth and is seeking multiple environmental professionals to support a diverse pipeline of upcoming projects.
Your new role
* Lead, plan and deliver land access strategies for energy infrastructure projects, including negotiating and maintaining agreements.
* Lead, plan and implement approvals strategies to secure environmental, cultural heritage, planning, and regulatory consents required for project development and delivery.
* Manage project workflows, documentation, and reporting systems to ensure accurate tracking of access and approvals activities, using GIS and other relevant tools.
* Engage and manage external consultants and coordinate internal resources to deliver access and approvals outcomes effectively.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, landowners, Traditional Owners, regulators, and other stakeholders to support project success.
* Identify and manage project risks and impacts related to land access, environmental constraints, planning approvals, and scheduling.
* Ensure all access and approvals activities comply with statutory obligations, internal policies and requirements, including tracking and auditing obligations to support governance and assurance.
* Promote and uphold safety standards in all access and approvals activities, ensuring alignment with HSE policies and procedures.
What you'll need to succeed
* Proven experience delivering land access and approvals for energy infrastructure projects, including both linear and site-based developments.
* Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and tenure arrangements relevant to energy project approvals.
* Effective negotiation and collaboration skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships across internal teams and external stakeholders.
* Strong analytical and decision-making skills, with attention to detail and a focus on risk and compliance.
* Clear and professional verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to manage consultants and coordinate internal resources to support approvals delivery.
* Organised and safety-conscious approach, working within relevant policies and procedures.
* Skilled in using systems and tools (e.g. GIS) to support approvals tracking, documentation, and reporting.
