About the Program
The Central Land Council Cadetship Program is designed to provide Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander university students with a unique opportunity to gain paid work and professional experience while pursuing their undergraduate degree.
Cadets will work under the guidance of departmental managers during the academic year and participate in 12 weeks of work placement annually.
The program provides a range of benefits, including:
* Airfares to and from placements
* Book allowances
* Rental assistance if you live interstate and have rental accommodation at your study location
* Payment of up to $500 for textbooks required for enrolled units each semester
* A one-time reimbursement of up to $2,000 for study-related equipment or programs
To be eligible for the program, you must:
* Be a full-time student enrolled in an undergraduate degree relevant to the work of the Land Council
* Identify as an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander in the community in which you reside
* Meet the selection criteria outlined in the application process
