STRONG Pilates Highgate is looking for a proactive, confident
Operations & Communications Manager/ Studio Manager
to support the day-to-day running and growth of their studio. This is a dynamic role suited to someone who takes initiative, and enjoys wearing multiple hats.
This position would be ideal for a freelancer or contractor looking for flexible, ongoing work, who is comfortable with scattered hours and split shifts.
Gym/pilates experience is now preferred. We're looking for a dynamic employee
About the Role
You'll be the go-to person for keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes, while also helping bring our brand, campaigns, and community to life.
Key responsibilities include (but aren't limited to):
Staffing & Scheduling
* Managing weekly rosters
* Organising last-minute cover and instructor changes
* Acting as a point of contact for staff communications
Operations & Studio Support
* Overseeing daily operational needs
* Liaising with franchise/head office and staying aligned with monthly campaigns
* Supporting studio systems, processes, and internal organisation
Communications & Community
* Confidently communicating with clients and members (in person and digitally)
* Handling studio announcements, updates, and messaging
* Being a warm, professional presence representing the brand
Marketing & Content Support
* Social media content planning and coordination
* Generating creative ideas for posts, campaigns, and studio initiatives
* Supporting marketing rollouts in line with franchise campaigns
Events & Activations
* Assisting with the planning and execution of studio events, launches, and collaborations
* Helping bring community-focused ideas to life
About You
You're someone who:
* Takes initiative and doesn't wait to be told what needs doing
* Is highly organised and calm under pressure
* Has excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
* Is confident speaking with clients, staff, and external partners
* Enjoys juggling multiple responsibilities
* Has a background in communications, marketing, media, or a similar field (highly regarded)
Availability Requirements
* 15–30 hours per week (hours may vary week to week (admin hours) + potential additional instructing hours)
* Comfortable with split shifts and flexible scheduling
Availability for:
* Morning closes (around 10:00am) on some days
* Afternoon opens (around 4:30pm) on other days
Training & Transition
The current manager will remain in the role until mid-year, ensuring a smooth handover.
Initial hours will begin at approximately one shorter shift per week for training and onboarding, gradually increasing as responsibilities are handed over. Opportunity to instruct earlier on, on a regular basis
