Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for a Fire Safety Engineer based in Perth, WA, with some work-from-home flexibility. The Fire Safety Engineer will collaborate with clients and project teams to deliver fire engineering solutions that ensure compliance, enhance safety, and enable creative building design. Key responsibilities include conducting fire and smoke modelling, developing performance-based fire safety strategies, performing fire risk and safety audits, and providing structural fire assessments. The engineer will also participate in stakeholder collaboration to navigate fire safety regulations and deliver practical outcomes for diverse project types.
Qualifications
* Familiarity with performance-based design and Australian building codes
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and collaboration skills
* Bachelor's degree in Fire Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
* Strong knowledge in Fire Safety, Life Safety, and related compliance standards
* Proficient knowledge in Fire Suppression System design and operation
* Proven ability to conduct fire and smoke modeling, including computational fluid dynamics (CFD), and evacuation analysis
* Familiarity with performance-based design and Australian building codes
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and collaboration skills
* Bachelor's degree in Fire Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
* Experience working in fire safety consultancy and project management is advantageous
