Join our team as an APS4 Tribunal Officer!

These exciting, ongoing, hybrid roles within the User and Member Services Branch at The Administrative Review Tribunal can be located in Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra, Hobart, Melbourne, Sydney, Darwin or Perth.

Remuneration: The annual salary range for the position is APS4 - $76,887 - $83,480 p.a., plus a generous employer superannuation contribution of 15.4%.

Please note, our Enterprise Agreement will deliver a 3.4% pay increase from 12 March 2026.

About the opportunities:

Working under the direction of the Team Leader and depending on the needs of the Tribunal Officers may work in one or more jurisdictions and undertake functions that may include case management, case analysis, user engagement, and administrative assistance.

These positions offer a chance to make a meaningful impact, assist people through the review of government decisions.

About you:

Working in a supportive team, you will be responsible for providing information and managing enquiries from review parties, their representatives and Tribunal members.

To be successful you will have:

• Knowledge of the operations, jurisdiction, practices and procedures of the ART, or an ability to quickly acquire that knowledge, and an ability to apply that knowledge when working on cases and liaising with internal and external stakeholders.

• Highly developed organisational skills, including an ability to manage priorities and workloads, deal with conflicting demands, meet deadlines with limited supervision, and use case management systems.

• Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate clearly, accurately, and respectfully with diverse internal and external stakeholders.

• Demonstrate sound judgement, use initiative, develop new skills, and accept responsibility for personal development, productivity and adherence to policy and procedure.

• Ability to research, comprehend and analyse information, and apply legal and policy frameworks to cases.

Desirable:

• Tertiary qualifications in a field of study that might demonstrate some or all of the required capabilities OR relevant experience in a similar work environment OR subject-matter expertise related to one or more of the ART’s jurisdictions.
