Teaching Opportunities in Rural Queensland
Mackay Northern Beaches State High School is seeking applications from experienced and early-career teachers to join a supportive team environment. The school offers various teaching opportunities, including Japanese Year 7-12, Design and Technologies (Materials and Technologies Specialisations) - Year 7-12, English Year 7-10, and more.
Applicants for these positions must possess a relevant teaching qualification, current full registration or provisional registration with eligibility for full registration as a teacher in Queensland, and working rights in Australia.
The successful candidates will be employed on a 12-month contract and offered a 12-month accommodation package at the school location. Teachers who have applied to the Teacher Application Portal are encouraged to email their interest in specific opportunities.
A key incentive for eligible participants includes the Rural and Remote Housing Incentive Scheme (RRHIS). This scheme provides initial temporary accommodation paid upfront by the department, followed by a taxable rental allowance aligned with the teacher's weekly rent expenses.
