Part Time or Full Time, Fixed Term (43 hours up to 86 hours per fortnight)
The Victorian Geriatric Medicine Training Program (VGMTP) delivers a state‐wide training program focused on increasing the geriatric workforce, enhancing Advanced Training quality, improving equitable access to specialist care, and providing education to those supporting older people. Central to the program is collaboration across health services to strengthen training opportunities, resulting in significant growth in trainee numbers.
The FIGM role supports advanced trainees across the alliance to ensure high‐quality training, with particular attention to those based in regional locations. This includes maintaining strong connections with geographically dispersed trainees through on‐site or virtual visits.
The initial appointment will be made by the Advisory Committee, with location negotiated across participating Health Services. Future appointments will be managed by the GVA Committee of Management.
* current registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation
* participating in or have completed advanced training in geriatric medicine.
