We're looking for an Information Management Analyst who thrives on detail, collaboration and delivering great outcomes for the community. From FOI requests to archival services, you'll be right at the heart of how information flows across the City, supporting transparency, trust and better customer experiences every day.
About the Role
This role requires a professional with strong knowledge and expertise in the management of the release of information in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and other relevant legislation.
As a collaborative member of the Information Management team, the position contributes to the smooth operation of the way the City handles and manages Freedom of Information Applications and Archival Services by ensuring great outcomes for our customers. You will be responsible for:
Delivering excellent customer service to the community
Responding to a wide range of customer information needs and requests
Coordinating and managing FOI applications
Contributing to the quality improvement for the release of information
Supporting the City's Archival Retrieval service and appraisal and disposal of records
Maintaining relevant registers, databases and systems, ensuring that information is accurate, stored correctly, accessible as required and meets legislative requirements
Contributing to the development of processes and procedures that support the work of the Service Unit
About You
You must be adaptable, ready to take on a challenge, be well-organised and have the capability of working in a busy environment in a fast and accurate manner. The role would be perfectly suited to someone who is familiar with Freedom of Information applications or alternatively who has the following skills and experience:
Qualification in relevant discipline such as Records Management or Information Management is required or relevant experience
Intermediate organisational skills with the ability to prioritise competing tasks
Advanced communication and problem-solving skills
Intermediate research and analysis skills
Knowledge of records management principles and practices, including legislative requirements of the WA State Records Act
Knowledge of key record keeping tools, business classification schemes and retention and disposal authorities
