The opportunity
**Responsibilities**:
- Engage with internal stakeholders;
- Maintain currency of existing subcontracts including negotiating and implementing complex subcontract variations
- Manage existing subcontracts and promote subcontractor collaboration to ensure on time performance and compliance;
- Develop practical and efficient solutions to complex procurement and subcontracts issues;
- Identify and develop appropriate sourcing strategies and approaches to market for goods and services, including software, and engineering services;
- Prepare, negotiate and execute contract documentation in accordance with delegations of authority;
- Manage subcontractor invoicing compliance and reporting
- Participate in risk identification and mitigation planning; and
- Ensure compliance with supply chain management corporate governance policies and procedures.
Experience/Qualifications
The right applicant will have a combination of the following competencies
- Three (3) to five (5) years' work experience in contracts management or procurement;
- Relevant Bachelor's degree in law, business or commerce (desirable);
- Effective written and verbal communications skills;
- Good working knowledge of the responsibilities and tasks performed across contracting and procurement and their interdependencies with other departments and disciplines (for example, engineering, logistics, finance); and
- A willingness to work in a team environment.
