About the Role
We're interested in speaking with experienced Senior Project Architects about upcoming roles in our Brisbane studio. You'll partner closely with the Design Team Leader to manage program, scope, deliverables, and resources across a large, multidisciplinary design team.
Responsibilities
* Support complex project delivery, bringing deep technical knowledge, strong design judgement and the confidence to work constructively with contractors.
* Help uphold design intent through scheme design, detailed design, construction documentation and, where required, into construction phase services.
* Apply extensive experience in technical detailing, building systems and project delivery to resolve challenges, guide smaller teams and contribute to high-quality built outcomes on major projects.
* Work closely with design leaders, consultants and contractor-side stakeholders to assess buildability, respond to proposed changes, and develop smart, practical technical solutions that protect the architectural vision while recognising program and construction realities.
* Contribute to significant, large-scale projects, bringing a rare combination of technical rigour, delivery experience and design sensibility.
* Operate in complex delivery settings, communicate clearly with experienced stakeholders, produce and review robust technical packages, and bring the professional credibility needed to influence outcomes in fast-moving project environments.
Qualifications
* 10+ years professional architectural delivery experience with a strong track record contributing to and leading work on complex, large-scale projects.
* Proven experience in leading small project teams – demonstrated ability to guide and mentor architects or technicians, coordinate consultant and internal inputs.
* Advanced technical detailing and documentation capability – deep expertise in how buildings are put together.
* Strong design judgement alongside technical rigour – ability to assess proposed changes for their impact on architectural quality, user experience and the overall design outcome.
* Experience delivering major health, Urban Transport and Civil infrastructure projects.
* Strong commercial acumen and ability to manage scope, budgets, and contractual obligations.
* Demonstrated success in program management, ECI, and Design & Construct delivery models.
* Skilled in identifying risks, managing scope changes, and communicating effectively with stakeholders.
* Experienced in coordinating consultant teams, contractor interfaces, and regulatory requirements.
* Capable of balancing design integrity with commercial and program efficiency.
* Self-driven and proactive working style – comfortable taking a brief, interrogating technical issues independently.
* Contractor- and stakeholder-facing capability – experience engaging confidently with contractors, consultants and delivery partners.
* High-quality project delivery mindset – commitment to excellence, clarity and rigour in documentation, detailing and coordination.
* Resilience and adaptability – a steady, professional presence who can work across evolving project scopes.
