We are seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as auxiliary firefighters in Queensland. This casual and flexible role plays a vital part in ensuring the safety of people and property across the region.
Role Overview
Auxiliary firefighters are an integral part of our emergency response team, responding to fire and other emergencies as part of a team. They promote community safety through education activities and develop their skills through regular drills and training courses.
Key Responsibilities
* Respond to emergency incidents as a team member
* Promote community safety and emergency preparedness through community engagement
* Develop and maintain competencies through regular training and assessment
* Maintain required attendance standards for emergency responses and training sessions
Requirements
* Employer's consent to attend emergencies
* Residence or work location within a reasonable distance from the auxiliary fire station
* Australian Permanent Resident Status
* Manual C Class driver's licence

Auxiliary firefighters commit to attending incident calls, regular drill sessions, and obtaining an MRV licence within 12 months. Assessment on leadership and management behavioural competencies will be conducted, including performance through vision, results, and accountability.

Capabilities
