About the Role
Reporting to the General Manager Infrastructure Projects, this senior leadership position is responsible for building, leading, and optimising a high-performing business unit delivering end-to-end engineering, procurement, and construction management (EPCM) solutions. You will help drive the strategy and business development, build the delivery team, oversee project delivery, and lead a multidisciplinary team while ensuring safety, quality, and commercial performance are embedded across all operations.
Key Responsibilities
Safety, Quality & Compliance (HSEQ)
* Champion a Safety First culture across all operations
* Ensure compliance with HSEQ Integrated Management Systems and WHS obligations
* Lead incident investigations, risk management, and corrective actions
* Maintain high standards of quality assurance and operational governance
Strategic Leadership & Business Growth
* Develop and execute divisional strategy aligned with business objectives
* Identify growth opportunities, expand client base, and lead tendering activities
* Build strong client relationships and negotiate contracts and project outcomes
* Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and emerging technologies
Project & Operational Management
* Oversee multiple infrastructure projects from opportunity identification to delivery and close out
* Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to scope
* Manage contract performance, variations, risk, and compliance
* Drive continuous improvement across systems, processes, and delivery frameworks
Financial & Commercial Management
* Develop and manage project and divisional budgets and forecasts
* Optimise resource allocation and identify cost‐saving opportunities
* Monitor financial performance, reporting, and contract profitability
Leadership & Team Development
* Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 50 personnel
* Foster a high-performance culture grounded in collaboration, accountability, and innovation
* Build succession plans and strengthen capability across the division
About You
Essential:
* Proven leadership experience in a similar senior role (3 years)
* Strong background in project management and EPC/EPCM environments
* Demonstrated success managing large teams and complex projects
* Strong safety leadership and commitment to HSEQ principles
* Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
* MBA or equivalent qualification
* Current C Class Drivers Licence
Highly Regarded:
* Trade or technical background (Electrical preferred)
* Experience across mining, renewables, construction, or heavy industry
* Exposure to integrated engineering and maintenance delivery models
