We are looking for highly skilled language professionals to join our team for upcoming technical projects in the **engineering and oil & gas sectors**. If you have proven experience in **technical translation** and are based in **PERTH**, we'd love to hear from you.
**Position 1: English > Chinese (Taiwan) Translator**
**Responsibilities**:
- Translate technical documents from **English to Traditional Chinese (Taiwan)**:
- Ensure technical accuracy, consistency, and adherence to industry-specific terminology
- Meet deadlines and maintain quality under tight timelines
- Collaborate with editors and project teams as needed
**Requirements**:
- Native or near-native fluency in Traditional Chinese (Taiwan)
- Strong command of English
- **Based in PERTH**:
- **Minimum 3 years of technical translation experience** in **engineering and oil & gas**:
- Familiarity with industry-specific terminology
- CAT tool proficiency (e.g., Trados, MemoQ) is preferred
**Position 2: Chinese (Taiwan) Language Editor**
**Responsibilities**:
- Review and revise translated documents for linguistic and technical accuracy
- Manage sensitive and confidential documentation with discretion
- Ensure consistency in style, tone, and terminology across documents
- **Provide face-to-face support** to the team as needed (location flexibility within Taipei)
- Coordinate with translators, project managers, and engineers to clarify content and context
**Requirements**:
- Strong experience in editing technical materials in **Traditional Chinese (Taiwan)**:
- Based in Perth and available for **on-site collaboration**:
- Proven ability to handle **confidential and sensitive materials**:
- Excellent eye for detail and linguistic accuracy
- Background in engineering or oil & gas documentation preferred
