Role Overview
Background: The organization is dedicated to ensuring Victoria has the infrastructure in place to transition to renewable energy.
The company seeks a Risk Director to elevate their career in renewable energy and help preserve the world around us for future generations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide strategic leadership and oversight of risk, compliance, critical incident, business continuity, and internal audit functions.
* Champion a contemporary approach to risk that proactively identifies threats and opportunities across strategies and initiatives.
* Maintain direct assurance reporting lines to the CEO, Board, and Chair of the Audit & Risk Committee.
Requirements:
* Understanding of Australia's energy transition, transmission planning, and renewable integration risks to inform strategic decisions.
* Experience working with Victorian Government agencies, applying governance obligations and energy-related regulatory requirements.
* Proven ability to design, embed, and mature enterprise-wide risk frameworks, including governance, appetite, and reporting structures.
