Job Description
Key Responsibilities
* Safely undertake works associated with the construction, commissioning, operating and maintenance of overhead distribution systems in accordance with your training and scope of authorisation
* Use, interpret and apply complex or advanced drawings and diagrams
* Use a variety of locating and fault-finding equipment
* Undertake all required safety processes and documentation, safety responsibilities and ensure the health and safety of yourself and others
* Participate in daily toolbox meetings
* Ensure all site requirements are adhered to
* Comply with all laws and regulations associated with the electrical industry
* Drive and operate company vehicles and mobile plant
Desired Skills and Experience
* Certificate III in ESI – Power Systems – Distribution Overhead
* Demonstrated experience working on the Essential Energy network
* Heavy Vehicle Licence (HR/HC/MC – unrestricted)
* Strong understanding of Essential Energy network standards and safety compliance
* White Card
* Full Australian working rights
* Takes pride in clean, compliant overhead work
* Works safely without being told twice
* Can lead apprentices or junior crew members on site
