Looking for a new Quarry Manager to handle day to day on new Hard Rock quarry

**Your new role**
An exciting opportunity exists for an enthusiastic and hard-working person to join our inclusive team in the position of the Quarry Manager.
Reporting to the Quarry Operations Manager, the Quarry Manager is responsible for the leadership and management of the quarry, ensuring the site is operated safely and efficiently. The role requires innovation within an organisational culture focused on continuous improvement. Furthermore, compliance with all business policies, procedures and requirements are a key responsibility of this role.

- Maintain safe and efficient daily operations of the Quarry
- Ensure operational standards and procedures are met and continually improved
- Manage and regulate expenditure in line with budget targets
- Monitor and maintain quality standards
- Ensure compliance with, and communication of, all statutory HSE requirements
- Provide active leadership and develop a performance driven team with a focus on safety first
**What you'll need to succeed**
- Proven experience in a similar role managing or supervising a quarry or mining operation and mine planning
- Experience in hard rock operations involving drill & blast, load & haul, crushing & screening is essential and experience in sand processing preferred
- Certificate IV and/or Diploma in Surface Extraction Operations/ Management or equivalent qualifications
- Hold, or be eligible to obtain, a Site Senior Executive Notice Queensland (Minerals, Mines and Quarries) for a surface mine or quarry employing more than 20 workers, where blasting takes place.
- Great interpersonal skills
- A dedicated focus on safety and working knowledge of Safety Management Systems, relevant legislation and regulations
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Experience managing P&L; and budget control
- Demonstrated ability to develop effective relationships to deliver a high level of customer service
- Proficient computer skills
