The Strategy and Policy Division is seeking a highly experienced professional to lead the coordination of the Department's work in early childhood education policy.
About The Division
The Strategy and Policy Division provides strategic policy advice on local, state and national education initiatives, and develops system-wide strategies and policies to improve student and department outcomes.
Public Schools Planning is responsible for developing strategic options for the design, location and delivery of future public schooling needs. It has responsibility for ensuring that the configuration of the delivery of schooling across the State best meets the educational needs of every student.
About The Role
As part of the Department's senior leadership team, the Director Early Childhood Policy and Coordination is primarily responsible for leading the development and coordination of the Department's work in early childhood education policy and reform initiatives.
You will provide quality advice for informed decision-making by the Minister, State Government, Director General, Corporate Executive and senior management on reforms and strategic issues of state and national significance in early childhood education.
This position requires someone with strong policy and written communication skills to coordinate high quality briefings, advice and reports on early childhood policy and reform initiatives.
The position is a pivotal contributor to systemic policy and strategic planning in early childhood education. Effective communication and engagement with school communities and external agencies in support of Department and whole-of-government strategic goals are essential components of this role.
